Welcome to the Baro English Platform. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or any of our educational services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue your use of our platform immediately.

1. Service Description

Baro Xisaab provides a digital educational platform tailored for Somali speakers. The service includes a structured 12-month curriculum, speaking labs, grammar modules, and mock assessments designed to prepare students for CEFR, IELTS, and TOEFL standards. We constantly update and improve our platform; therefore, the format and nature of the services may change without prior notice.

2. User Accounts & Security

To access premium features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
• Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.
• Prohibited Sharing: Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Our systems monitor concurrent logins, and accounts found to be shared across multiple unregistered individuals may be suspended or terminated without a refund.

3. Subscriptions, Trials & Payments

Baro Xisaab operates on a subscription-based model to ensure ad-free, high-quality learning.

• Free Trial: New accounts are granted a free trial. During this period, you have full access to the curriculum without charge.
• Pricing: Subscription fees are standard at $10.00 USD (or 1,500 KES within Kenya) per month. Prices are subject to change, but existing active subscriptions will be honored at their current rate until renewal.
• Refund Policy: Due to the digital nature of the content and the provision of a free trial to evaluate the platform beforehand, all subscription payments are final and non-refundable unless required by Kenyan consumer law.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

All content, including but not limited to lesson plans, audio recordings, videos, graphics, logos, software, and text provided on the Baro English Platform, are the exclusive intellectual property of Baro English Platform.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-commercial, and non-transferable license to access the content for personal educational use. You may not copy, record, distribute, sell, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.

5. Referral Program & Wallets

Baro Xisaab offers a referral program where users can earn digital wallet balances by inviting others. We reserve the right to audit, delay, or cancel referral payouts if fraudulent activity, botting, or self-referral is detected. Minimum withdrawal thresholds apply.

6. Disclaimers & Limitations of Liability

Educational Disclaimer: While Baro Xisaab prepares students for international exams, we are not directly affiliated with, endorsed, or sponsored by the British Council (IELTS) or ETS (TOEFL). Success in these external exams depends solely on the student's individual effort and aptitude.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baro English Platform and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use or inability to use the platform.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Nairobi, Kenya.
